  • Where to Get Exhaust?

    Hey all,

Ok here is my problem, My engine is about to go back in my car, I bought new headers, and have to get a new y-pipe, i figured this would be a good time to get an exhaust set up.

I was wanting to do a 3" single exhaust back, to a muffler with dual outlets, with ground clearance being an issue, I'm not gonna worry about actual dual exhaust.

my problem is, my car is not emissions legal, and every shop wants to put a cat on the car, my car is gonna burn up a cat like no ones business, so I really dont want to pay the extra 100-150 bucks for them to put cats on just so they get burned up, and taken off later.

So my question is, does anyone know anywhere in southeast michigan that will put an exhaust setup on for me without cats? or is there anyone on this board who would like to make a little bit of cash and make me an exhaust system? for a good price

how about this, If i bought a cat back setup, would someone be able to install it, and just fill the spot where the cat is supposed to be with a pipe?

I would also like to cut off the end of my ypipe, and weld on a 3 inch pipe instead of the 2.5"..

all I would need is someone to weld the kit together and put on hangers.

could / would anyone be down for that? and if so, how much would you charge me for your help?

Our shop would do it. Sounds like maybe a 2 hour job.
