  • completeing the lt4?

i was looking into completing the top end of my engine with 195cc lt4 heads and the lt4 intake, then with a 58mm t.b. with the lt4 hot cam kit, it claims on summit that it puts you to 410 horsepower.

    are these numbers realistic?

of course i need $1500 to do so lol so not anytime soon

but im taking donations towards the cause

lt4 hotcam, with LT4 intake and heads.... 410 seems very realistic to me. were not talking RWHP, just crank.

granted you can achieve that number with a cheaper build (mine for example)

The LT4 kit is not worth it IMO. Loyd Elliot is a widely known LT1 builder. His LE1 package should net right around 400 rwhp, and costs $1000. You send him your heads and he ports them and makes a cam for you.

you cant huh? There are people making 500rwhp with stock castings. LT4s and aftermarket heads are only gonna do better. Also the LT4 hotcam has wilder specs than an LT4 cam.

Advanced Induction 226/234 cam with stock heads milled and slightly pocket ported. (done by a local guy). Intake is bone stock. My goal is 350-375rwhp once i get the tune right.

also remember you can have the biggest cam and heads in the world, does you no good with a restrictive TB and Intake

correct, but stock equipment on LT1s are easily good for 400rwhp before they become any form of a restriction. ...now granted bigger never hurts.

i still think lt4 hot cam is garbage just my .2cents and i know theres ppl makin 400rwhp with stock castings(ported) but lt4 heads cost wat it woulda costed to get ur lt1 heads ported to flow better so all im sayin is gm stuff untouched is GARBAGE for the lt1s weather its cams, heads, optis, anything
