i would actually consider my magnaflow pretty quiet.. i have no complaints about the volume.. its nice and quiet at cruise.

I have long tube headers and no cats as well..

Maybe on a V8. The body on the V6 muffler is almost half the length of the V8 one.

hmm.. thats retarded.. i thought it was the same kit. No real reason GM shouldnt have had the Y pipe outlet in a different spot.. odd.

Y pipe outlet is in the same spot but it's a different diameter than the V8 cars. Magnaflow used a real small muffler on the V6 kit compared to the V8 kits.

I like the Magnaflow, and if you want it quieter have them cut the tips off and weld on a different set of tips. My quad corsa clones made the car a lot quieter.

Compare it to that ebay link up top or I could swing by and look at it. I'm a mile away lol and drive by your house often. What tips does it have? Post pics and we'll tell ya.

It looks exactly the same. I had the SLP dual slash tips on, but I put on different tips. Feel free to stop by and check it out, I might be interested in trading.

If that's the exhaust you're talking about, it's a Flowmaster. The SLP is all stainless including the muffler. SLP's don't have the little bump on the rear of the muffler on the drivers side, it's just smooth stainless.

is that a 3 inch exhaust? my brothers 2.5 magnaflow sure seems like his muffler is bigger than the one you have. maybe not though. And his car isnt that loud at all, i had a simple vforce muffler in place of my stock with 2.25 inch pipes before the current setup and mine was louder than his.

It's 2.5" with I think 3.5" tips. The tips are a bit bigger than I'd really like but I'm not spending more money on it. I spent enough on the system as it is!
