Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Wow your engine is clean! Very nice. I like the candy red accents too! Thanks for your contribution Joel!
thanks! hope it helped you out a bit. the tubes of the thing extend down far enough that the filters almost touch the splash guards down below. the filters also go through (and clamp on) right about where that whole is in the sheet metal.
my SS hood is also currently painted with a candy red intimadator/manta style scoop too ill have pics asap, you can count on that
joel did you get that stuff anodized? Or did you paint it? The STB and CAI.
anodized em both myself. you can buy the stuff at murrays... just requires a lot of prepwork, but otherwise its pretty easy to do. its definitely my theme/accent color on my car. im also working on doing my brake calipers in that stuff, i just hope it holds up to the heat.
just realized they dont have murrays over here lol. autozone should have it, just look for the anodized caps. having it turn out good is all in the prep work. on both those things i started with a sand blaster, then wire wheeled, and finally wetsanded and polished. with my calipers the metal was quite a bit rougher so i had to do some work with a rotary sander and dremel instead of a sandblaster. other than that, just make sure the metal is nice and clean before you start, and NOT rusted from when the water you just washed it with lol. i usually do about 2-3 coats, any more and it will start to lose its luster. when youre happy with how it looks slam a good 3 coats of clear on and youre done
You definitely doctored that thing up well. I still think it would be cool to have two big pipes come up from the filter 45 degree bend into one smaller pipe ain into the intake plenum. Just not enought room I guess but mine is a V6. I might. I was thinking the pressure of the two flows of air would help to push eachother a bit when they collide at the "Y" and then be accelerated through the smaller pipe by a vortex. You think this holds up in theory???
alright now that i saw a picture of joels i have an idea where to start on this... get me some messurments of yours for me... i want the open room from the bottom of the battery box over to the other side of the engine bay near the driver side fender... then get me a measurment from the center of the throttle body to your fan shroud... try to get me a "t measurment... do the center line from the TB to the fan, and tell me how much room i have on the left of the center line and on the right side... your gonna want it to look clean and symetrical..... if you have a camera get me some pictures of the front of the engine bay where the pulleys are at... and what kinda metal do you want this to be in? i have alum, steal, maybe some stainless the alum will suck to weld but i can do it, it would be nice for weight purposes but the alum will get hot fast and ruin the whole point of the cold air getting to the engine....
