  • NEEEEEEEED catback, suggestions

My car NEEEEEEEEEEEDS an exhaust, badly. I am thinking of going magnaflow..... Anyone on here run it? If so how do you like it? Any other suggestions? It WILL be an ORY+catback setup, no duals. Thanks!

    ORY w/o headers?

Ive had a hooker catback on all my LS1s and I love it. Cheap and sounds great.

      yea, no headers here.... lol.

Im just wondering how restrictive a hooker will be, i'm guesisng it might hold me back 75 hp or so. I think the magnaflow would let it flow a bit more. Plus its all stainless and only $60 more

How can you be worried about exhaust restriction without having headers? Your manifolds are more restrictive than anything

He has a turbo, so they're specially made for that...basically like headers, but with some spinny-things.

i want to be as least restrictive as i can be. I MIGHT be doing the catback+ cutout option which then wouldnt make a difference what catback i get, but i will only be getting on my car with the cutout open which will be very loud, with that tune it will have to be tuned for the cutout open, then with it closed threw the exhaust will cause it to go lean if i go WOT so i will have to constantly use the cutout, can be kind of a PITA and a little scary dealing with 2 different set-ups on 1 tune.

Can't you have it setup (somehow - and keep in mind this is pure imagination - expensive imagination) to swap the tune when you open the cutout?

If i had a Big Stuff 3 computer system.... and your right, expensive! I think i might go Magnaflow with an E-cutout, i'll just have to remember to open it when i want to mash the gas.
