When I put the flowmaster catback on my car I just bought the muffler and did 2 1/2in pipe inter and tail pipes I had access to the pipes and a bender. The question I have is what size tipps did you guys use on your cars. pics would be great so I could get a look at what they look like. Im thinking something like 3 or 3 1/2in tipps that are 18in to 22in so you dont see where they start.

    thanks,

    Jim

They look good not to big and not to small. Do you have any sound clips of your magnaflow?

what do you think of the way it sounds. Just asken I dont realy like magnaflow on a v6 I got a flowmaster but everyone dont like them ether from what I read. But on my car I think it sounds pretty good.

I love the way it sounds, truthfully. The videos don't do it any justice. It's a great rumble at idle, sounds nice and beefy 1st through 3rd, and then quiets down as it gets in higher gears. In my honest opinion (so take it like a grain of salt, everyone's got their own opinions lol) I've never liked flowmaster exhausts because I always thought they sound raspy and tin-ny. That, and the flowmaster isn't a huge upgrade over stock when it comes to performance gains compared to MagnaFlow or others. (Steve, don't argue with me this time, I can pull up that post with all the flow charts showing Flowmaster being 4th at the very best compared to other exhausts! )

Maybe not true dual, but I like that look. Maybe it'll give me a chance to install a SECOND GLASSPACK! lol Then I'll be badass fo' shizzle! lol

Brian I didnt mean anything by that I was just saying what I liked and why I picked the muffler I did, thats the same reason you picked what you did. Right. But it does sound good at idle. And I know it would sound alot different during driveing.
camarodude I would like to hear what the glass pack sounds like on your car never hear it on a v6. If you wanted duals you could fab something up that was set up like an slp was. If you have a sound clip please post it I want to hear it.

believe it or not, tips can actually have a pretty substantial effect on exhaust note.
