  • Jet Hot Headers

Can anyone tell me if Jet Hot actually makes headers or do they just coat other brands and resell them?

Are these not the same headers? (except a hell of a lot cheaper)

    http://www.lmperformance.com/3645/2.html

One has a part # of Jet-2231-1 and the other is HOK-2231-1 and according to http://www.jet-hot.com/pages/Precoats/Camaro.htm 2231 is a Hooker Super Comp header.

Are these high quality headers with a decent price?

Im about 90% sure Jet Hot buys hooker super comps and coats them.

As far as I know, Jet Hot coats other manufactures headers.

              Try cleaning them.

My exhaust tips have "rust specks" on them, but that crap wipes off, easy.

I have the same issue with mine. I thought they werent supposed to rust? Possibly a cleaning issue before they were coated.

ceramic coating != stainless steel or chrome

You're saying you can't clean them?!?

I say it's just random spots.

No Chrome turns blue. Stainless is the best 304 grade Will not rust but will turn light brown also good for heat also cost the most. Ceramic best for keeping heat away from motor and accessories. But it can chip And RUST.

Yes random spot . yes you can clean them but they come back. (That is my hooker comps, factory coated. ) I think the jet hot coating is the best. From what I have seen. They will coat any brand and have ther own line. I sure they have them made for them.

Yeah, Hooker's factory coating is junk.
