i think most non-dealer shops will do it for you, but from what they told me they have to hook up emissions and cats to keep it legal

i got a quote for $800! So i did it myself

most shops wont touch LT1 cars. good luck, if you dont get quoted an arm and a leg for it the shop has no idea what theyre getting themselves into.

We still do a ton of LT1 installs and engines. We are quite qualified to handle those vehicles.

Yea if you dont have the money to have a shop do it for you, just do it yourself

Im sure the LT1 guys can help you out if you run into any trouble.. didnt you just put your headers on last year Joel?

What are you guys complaining about? Me and Fred did them on Kolin's car and they weren't that bad. I've done ones that were 10x harder!

i think they are a piece of cake. shops dont... theyre used to header installs on cars that actually have some kind of an engine bay most likely.

i just did it myself about a month ago

it was my first time installing any headers, and the first time i touched motor mounts, so all of it was brand new to me

AFTER i figured out i had to tilt the engine to get them in place the hardest part was tighting the bolts b/c they were so close to the header primaries

took me about 6hrs of actual working with alot of breaks in between to calm down, i got really frustrated a few times lol
