I've got a cold air like the 1st ebay link. It was one of my first mods, and I honestly feel even for my 3.4L v6 it was a great buy. I didn't notice a HUGE difference, but like Eric said, you'll notice a difference in throttle response right off the bat. I later upgraded the exhaust, but I still noticed right away with only doing the intake. The LT1s are really restricted. The 3.4L's even more so -- thats the entire problem with 3.4L's and why they suck so bad on power -- they can't get air in efficiently.

Edit: I'd go with the 2nd one though, because the 1st one that I have you're not really "cold air" when you're just sucking the air out of the engine bay. Unfortunately, back then I didn't think about that part, just heard the stock intakes sucked. ...or, in this case... didn't suck good enough.

Wow! I can't thank you guys enough for all the responses. Well, I guess I will be odering it this week. What is the best filter to buy? Prolly just a K&N?

Also, not to get completely off topic, but to help out and what not, what is the best bang for the buck for a low restriction muffler? I was thinking of doing a glass pack on it. I just have stock exhaust right now with no cat. I can't afford to do much right now, because Im ordering a lot for it. So I can't do the duals like I want to right yet. Besides the basics for tune-up (with all performance parts) and what not any other cheap performance mods Im missing that I should do? Thanks again guys!

yup get a K&N just sucks when u gotta clean it but its the best overall

For all the modding on LT1 stuff.. Joel is the man you would want to talk to

if you want the whole affect of good air flow you want a nice free flowing exhaust, and headers

Why not just get a K&N CAI?

Yeah, cone filters are a ***** to clean and then reoil.

I'd imagine regular flat filters (aka, Mine ) are much easier.

The cone filters are a *****. A K&N CAI is so damn exspensive when you can get one pretty much same design for $40... I don't know Im waiting to see what pops up..

Who makes the best CAI, without considering a price?
