  • Fuel Pump questions

Sorry if this is in the wrong section...
    But here are my questions...

    1994 Z28

Whats the best way to change the fuel pump in terms of problems i might encounter while doing so.

Whats the best brand and what lph???

A 383 is going in the car with 150 shot

Use the trap door method, It gives you access to the pump in less than 5mins just in case anything goes wrong with it down the road.

A racetronix kit would be great as it comes with its own harness. 255lph should be plenty.

I would do what mike says because thats what I would do.
Racetronix's is a really good setup.

          Who said anything about lazy??

You don't even see the cutout because it's coverd by the carpet and it's a time saver

I have done plenty of these pumps. Racetronic's with a hotwire kit should be plenty. I wouldn't even think of doing the trap door. The cars I work on are too nice for that

The trap door method would be easier down the road but I just dont know about cutting into my car like that

My car was done without the door...It just takes a while.

No need to cut these cars up.

Imo not a big deal to do the trap door...no one sees it and no one knows but you...plus it only takes a few hours at most to replace the pump.
