EGR block off plate??

Is it worth it and what is the main point of blocking it off

the EGR is a small tube that runs from your exhaust manifold/header to the intake. it puts exhaust gas back into your intake so that any unburned gas in the exhaust gets put back in the motor. it is an emmissions thing, i personally don't think putting exhaust fumes back in your intake is a good performance helper it's not a bad idea to block it off in my opinion.... most aftermarket headers come in "race" style which is just the same header with out the provisions for EGR or the AIR

if you're gonna do it pull the header off and have the port welded shut. if you put a plate over most likely you'll have a very annoying exhaust leak plus your engine bay will get dirty.
