LT1 intakes

Can anyone tell me what the difference's are between the 94-95 and 96-97 intake manifolds? I was surfing ebay and ran across a listing where the seller says he has both styles and the buyer can choose.

I am wondering since the LT1 I have is a 96, and I'm running it with a 95 PCM and concerned that the intakes may be different and have different sensors and such.

The only difference I know of is the 93 used a different fuel rail system. It didn't have the cross over pipe near the front of the intake. To my knowledge 94-97 intakes were the same. I have a 96 lt1 intake from a camaro that I plan on cleaning up and using someday.

I thought they were the same too. but check this out, look about half way down in the description, hes offering 2 different castings

It might just be a different casting number with no real changes.

intake manifold differences

According to the 93-02 GM parts manual,

The part # for the 93, which uses different rails and hardware
is 12518284.

The part listed for the 94 breakdown is 12552137

The part for the 95-97 breakdown is... 12552137!

So as far as I know, and as far as GM is concerned,
there is only one current casting offered as replacement
for the 94-97 LT1 intake manifold. That doesn't rule out
that there were previous casting numbers or improvements
to the design along the way. I'm still under the impression
that any 94-97 LT1 manifold will fit any 94-97 application.

Also, the two part numbers that were used on that Ebay listing
don't seem to come up in the database, although the 12552137
does. GM lists the 12552137 for $715.79!
