So i just finished installing a new cd player a few days ago. it worked fine at first now slowly things have begun to no longer work. At first the gauge cluster would not light nor would the foglights, now the interior lights wont work, the HU wont light up, the gauge cluster does not work at all and the taillights wont light. I ahve checked fuses and all are fine. Did I short a wire or something under the dash? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated to fix this hot mess.

How did you wire it up? Did you use a plug in wiring harness? It sounds like some thing's grounding out since you're not blowing fuses.Comment

did not use a plug in...it worked fine for a day and then this stuff started happening. I would not know where to start to look for a grounding issues.2011 Ford Raptor SuperCrew

You got something messed up. Unhook the radio and see if your problems go away. I ALWAYS use a plug in harness. SO much easier and well worth the $10 it costs.Comment

yeah, the plug in harness makes it pretty self explanatory. you probably have one wired up to the other incorrectly. if you wire up the dimmer (which is 9/10 times not used on aftermarket headunits) incorrectly, that can cause the problems you listed.
$10 scosche wiring harness for gm 85-up or something like that at wal-mart will make your problems go away.1997 Red T/A (SOLD)
