Nice job! All too often it's the simple things that trip us up in these projects.

Thank you. It was just a simple mistake I didn't noticeOriginally posted by 98blackbeauty View PostGood Job! its always hard to find a mistake that we make ourselves!
I was really surprised it even ran. After redoing the harness, heads and cam. I was surprised. I am proud of myself, reason this took so long to finish is because I almost gave up. Glad i didn't..Originally posted by Atrus View PostHonestly, man, I am impressed you got 'er dun with this little of hassle. You changed a whole lot at once - all those variables quickly raises the risk of issues. You should be proud of yourself for pulling this off on your own!
So, Officer Dalessandro will be back in action patrolling Woodward, eh?
Officer Dalessandro is banned from the Woodward page along with a lot of my friends lol. I didn't do anything I swear

I'm about 90% sure injector 6 and 1 wiring was reversed. Other than that the wiring isn't the issue. Went over it 3 times.
I'll try moving the coils around.

If theres a problem with a particular cylinder try swapping the coil /plug / wire to another cylinder 1 at a time and see if the problem follows

I replaced the two coils and used two msd 8.5 wires on them instead of the Taylors.
Backfired as it was cranking.
Ran it for about 20 seconds before it backfired again.
Out of all the times it has done it, it seems to have only done it at idle or as it comes down to idle.

I hate those black autolites, hard to read the fire ring. In the pic above, looks like #1 is fouled again. If it keeps fouling after new wires, try swapping the coil and see if the problem follows.

Toast as in fouled out? And no I haven't. I'm making new wires right now and I'm never doing it again.
These were 1 and 5 spark plugs when I changed them after I had changed them before. 1 on top 5 on bottom. Changed them due to random misfire after I had started and ran the car a few times for a short period of time

1 and 5 are toast. Have you fired it at night to see if you have an arc show under the hood?

Cylinder 1 on left and cylinder 8 on right in order.
