I would get it up to operating temp. and see how it runs fully warmed up.. I dont know what mods you have that you needed to get a tuned pcm for. But if its nothing too radical it shouldnt hurt it. Just use your best judgement. If you have a cam, headwork, and different injectors then dont do it. Actually, if it was mine I would retry the tuned pcm again. If its still bad I would send it back.

I took it out and it was good for about 10 mins had a few minor pops. I did notice that as soon as I started the car the fans came on for a few minutes. Seems strange to me not sure why they would come on during start up.

Only mods are bolt ons and a 3200 stall converter

There are certain trouble codes that trigger the fans to come on because the PCM isnt sure if things are OK, youll have a check engine light if thats the case.

It's strange cause the car has never had a light on. I know the bulb is there at least but it hasn't come on in 4 years

Does the light come on when you go to start the car? If not bulb is burnt out.

You need to scan it again. Figure out what the codes are and trace them back. Fans on is an indication of a malfunction. They should show up after driving it.

Check to make sure you have cylinder 8 to 8 on optispark, 7 to 7, etc. I messed mine up when I redid mine. Sometimes its the simplest things.

The codes are gone. However the car doesn't run any better. I had a shop scan it twice no codes, but Oriellys scanned it originally and that's where all the codes came from.

All the misfiring my car had from plug wires never threw a code on my car. It just ran like dogsh* anytime i gave it any good amount of throttle at a lower rpm.

That's the only thing that changed. I was in a rush so I didn't have the msd wires on the passenger side so I could take it to the shop for the convertor install. After I got it back it ran great then I fried the wire and replaced all the passenger side wires and it hasn't ran right since

This is how my car ran with the wires causing the misfire. It would idle and make power at high rpm but cruising around it missed bad.
