  • Need some advice please....

Hey everyone, just a quick question...so far on my 94 i have discovered that it is actually (VIN) coded for the v6 but has had a lt-1 and ecu swap, so i guess its considered a conversion i think?? Anyways, it has an aftermarket keyless entry system that apparently has never been completely hooked up. My question is=====> Since my car has had a new LT-1 and ECU installed and still has the factory ignition key and VAT module, what would my options be in order to remove the aftermarket keyless entry and use the factory keyless options? In other words, what do i need to change out, purchase or do in order to put my car back to factory and be able to use the factory keyless, etc features? I am sure that i will have to purchase a new factory FOB or remote, but what else do i need to do to get it back to factory? Also, i have checked my RPO codes and my car does have the factory keyless module under the passenger side kick panel....

    Thanks Everyone for your Help
    Thanks,
    Stephen

First thing you need to do is let us know if it is an LT1(92-97) or LT-1(70's)

Second, do you know if the car is OBDI or OBDII?

Since its a swap car it could be either, but I would guess OBDI.

Once we know that we can go from there.

OK, How exactly do i tell if it is an LT1 or an LT-1? And yes, it is an OBDI. Here is a picture of it....

Than is an LT1. Since the car is an OBDI LT1 car, all of shbox's website applies to it.

This website has all the info you would need to know about the LT1 OBDI fbodys.

Do you know if your car originally came with keyless entry? I think the module is located in the passenger kick panel. I have always had OBDII cars so my knowledge of the LT1 stuff is pretty basic.

Yes, it came factory with the keyless system. i pulled the kick panel and the module is there. Im still not sure how or what i need to do in order to get it back to the factory keyless system? I have looked all through shoebox's site and there is a lot of info but noting to directly address my issue....Anyone else have any ideas?
