My car is out of control!

So my Bird just recently started doing the following. Everytime I lock or unlock the car with my Remote key the headlights pop up and close right away, followed by a really horrible grind for about 5 seconds coming from the front right headlight. Is the nylon gear in the Headlight motor going bad? and why is the Keyless entry remote opening my headlights?

That's odd! I want my TA to pop the headlights up when I unlock the car, it would be like KITT or something. Lol

Are you sure that's not something you can program into it. Check your owner's manual.

The plastic gears are stripped. Time to flip them 180, get brass gears, or new motors.

^ What they said. My Trans Am did that when the gears went out.

Same!! I took off the bar that goes to the gear, manually turned the motor gear 180°, & its good as new.

Do it right the first time and get brass gears, i replaced the whole gear with another stock gear and within a few months it started again
