So .... this is kinda stupid. My oil fill cap broke off inside my valve cover on my '91 bird. So I took the valve cover off and unintentionally hit the battery connection on the back of the alternator with the valve cover ... and it blew my fuseable link. My question is what is the best stock like replacement for a fuseable link that goes between the alternator and battery? I suppose I could go to a junk yard and try to find one.
Can I buy just that segment of the wire to replace the fuseable link? My poor chrome valve cover has yet another weld mark on it ...
The first time was installing it, but it was only for a split second cause it totally freaked me out. This time also freaked me, but it got jammed and couldn't move. So the link roasted ...
