Check for loose or dirty grounds and even the positive cable connections under the hood and especially at the junction box.

yeah already checked a couple times and find nothing. thought it was gonna leave me on the side of the road last night so its parked until i get it fixed. thanks

picked up an alternator from a 2000 yukon today. this should work right? think its only 130 amp but unsure

well went and swapped alternators today and guess what i found? seems it was never the alternator all along. still did the swap to the 130 amp though. seems my battery cable was rubbing on my ac compressor pulley and it was arcing causing my issues. so i repaired it and all is well. thanks for all the help

Glad you got it fixed dude! Got my caliper today, hopefully Sunday I can get it on and hope my car is fixed..
