  • Autometer gauge acting funny. (oil pressure)

I have a 0-100psi Z series electric gauge in my Camaro. Right now, if I give it any throttle it drops off and flutters near 0. This is while I am crusing on 696, it stays at 50psi, same on the dash.

I got off the freeway, still reading normal 25psi idle, 50 crusing, then got on it a bit fluttered and hit 0. It's acting like a vacuum/boost gauge almost.

Parked in my driveway, gave it a few quick revs, seems that when ever it goes over 3000 it does it.

Bad ground/connection? My trans temp gauge would flutter and it was because I had it grounded down on one of the inspection cover bolts and the bolt was very slightly loose.

        Just freaked out over nothing.

The little nut that holds the ring terminal was missing.

Any idea what the thread size of that stud is?
