Just installed a shift light so I decided to make up a write up for it since I couldn't find any good ones and cut the wrong wire.

STEPS:
Obviously now just replace the panels. Pretty darn simple. You could even splice under the hood where the white wire is coming out of the PCM. I opted to just do it down in the Passenger kick panel.

IMG_0393.JPG This is the wires in the passenger kick panel. You are looking for the white wire coming out of the blue connector.

STEPS:
- Disconnect Negative Battery Terminal
- Remove Passenger kick panel. Held in by 4 Philips screws on the bottom.
- Remove pannel under steering wheel. Held in by 2 philips screws and 2 7mm bolts.
- Remove pannel around stereo. Held in by 2 7mm bolts on drivers side, 3 7mm bolts on passenger side (have to open glove box)
- Remove Radio. Held in by 2 7mm bolts on driver side, 10mm nut on passenger side.
- I used the radio power and ground to wire my shift light, its easy, know it works, and is fused. So splice the ground on the shiftlight or tach to the black on the radio, and the red one is ignition power, yellow is hot all the time.
- Green wire goes to the passenger side kick panel where you will see a blue connector. The white wire is the wire you are looking for. Tap into that wire.
- I ran my wire through the panel below the glove box to the passenger kick pannel, behind the stereo, then out where the steering wheel panel is and mounted it on top of the steering column.
