  • Really odd windshield wiper malfunction.

So, today after parking the car and turning it off, I realized that the wipers were still turned on and up on the windshield, which annoys me. Then, I proceeded to turn the car back on and turned the switch back off so that the wipers would be in the normal position. Did that and the stupid wipers went and stayed at the peak position on the windshield. Does anyone have any clue why this happened? I fiddled around trying to repeat the process, but my wipers' "off" position is now NOT the right adjfoiwdjfalsdjfa. Help.

My wiper motor would randomly cycle between off and the parked position. Something in the motor (sensor or whatever) was crapping out. I pull the fuse when not in use as they still work when on. I have a replacement motor I got from someone who removed their wipers. Just need to get it installed. It's been acting up like this for years. It is frustrating having to pull over and put the fuse back in when it rains or remove it when it dries up. I hate them randomly cycling for no reason and don't want to burn anything out so I pull the fuse after I get them to finally go back to the off position.
