I started to get a misfire above 4500 rpm, so I decided to replace my optispark. I had the non vented style. I replaced it with the Dynaspark vented style Gen1 opti. Now I have a slight misfire and hesitation. I have no check engine codes. Could the venting be effecting how it's running? Any help would be appreciated!

It was the same style with the flat spot. It went on easy and flush. I took it off and put it back on just twice just to make sure. I wondered about the MAF, I ran it unpluged to see if it made a difference and it seemed to run smoother, but I didn't know what that meant I needed to do.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostWas the dowel pin the same style as your opti? Did you have to force it on?
Hiss the MAF? Mine was causing me hesitation and issues.sigpic

I have the Granatelli MAF with no screen. I am stumped with this one. I actually drove the car with the MAF unplugged and it's not better, but it does idle better.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostYou may want to buy a 7 dollar bottle of MAF cleaner and try that.
On my car, when I unpluged the MAF it made no difference. Since yours changes, I think it would be "good"Last edited by ryanwarby01; July 3rd, 2011, 12:34 AM.sigpic
