Hi I have a 1969 Firebird. When acquired, the dash lights did not work properly. What happens is, not only are the gage backlights lit, but the two turn signal arrows light up. Signals and everything else works fine...it is just awful to look at those turn lights glowing when they should not be.
So, I have replaced the headlight switch, the circuit board on the dash, the turn signal switch in the column, and checked every wire connection I can get to with no positive result. The only other thing that I can conclude is that there is a faulty voltage regulator (I am getting 12 V form the hot wire) somewhere in the system...but I can not determine where this is or how to fix it. Sorry for the long explanation, but does anybody have an idea or experienced this problem. Thanks
