  • HID Problems NO IDEA

So i bought fogs and low beams from ddm tuning and i installed the fogs. My problem is that when they are on for about 5 minutes and i'm driving my wipers will start to move and a weird sound comes from the wiper motors as far as i can tell. Only does it when im driving so far. Does this mean i need to upgrade the wire harness for the fogs? If so should i upgrade the low beams too?

I'd have to agree with sman for this one. Sometimes coincidences happen. Could be the wiper mototr's going bad and it just happen to act up after you installed the HIDs. I don't think they share a common circuit. I've had four corners of marker lights go at once before at the same time. Weird, but it does happen.

well thanks guys but it is related cause when i don't have my fogs on, my wipers don't move, so something is throwing it off. My wipers are working prefect, how do i know this, we just had the most rain that KC has seen in a single week in like 20 yrs!! lol

Well, i just looked at the wiring diagrams. They dont share a power or ground.... Try putting your regular halogens in and see if they still do it.

HIDS pull way more current than stock bulbs so you are probably shorting out the wipers when you turn your fogs on. You should already have a relay harness anyway for headlights and fogs. It pulls power directly from the battery for HIDS instead of frying your wiring harness. YOU NEED ONE REGARDLESS IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS. Have you ever seen someone with GREAT subwoofers and no capacitor? Their headlights dim everytime the subs hit and eventually their alternator takes a shit. Its the same idea but it doesnt hold a charge just doesnt use the wiring harness for more than a switch. Relay harnesses are only 5 or 6 bucks so its not even worth making your own. EBAY. If you dont know what that is it looks like this:HID-Wiring-harnes&.jpg

I had HIDS on my GTP before and my left headlight wouldnt work and my blinkers would stop working. Installed a relay harness and it fixed it.

Mine came with the harness built wired in the ballast. I thought is was a wiring problem, and I guess I was right. If you continue to have issues you should contact Scott our site sponsor. Great guy and good prices.

alright so everything is installed and now my right low beam isn't working right. Its an off yellow color and not bright at all. Any suggestions on what this could be?
