  • Plug wire boot protection

How many of you guys were surprised at the price when you went to buy some fiberglass boot covers? Well, I was at least

I have the ceramic coated Hooker 2210's in my car, and they don't seem to put off any more heat than a stock setup, but I prefer to play it safe anyways.

What do you guys use for plug wire protection? I have some of the thermal tape on the boots right now, but I don't think that was enough to save 'em during the initial red hot break-in period before the ceramic cured. I have noticed that at least one of the boots is leaking onto the primaries, and there is a noticeable hesitation while at cruising speed.

Should I just shell out the $50 for the fiberglass boots and be done with it?

Sounds good...I guess there's no need for me to be a cheap ass after spending so much money on the rest of my car I was just wondering if there were any alternatives or anything.
