alternate alternator

So, Ive run into a bit of a snag on the engine.. I have NO room to put the OEM alt where i want it, I have founf some mini ones, but they're all only 55A (is that enough for driving around town? ie wipers/headlights/radio)

The other option:
My buddies Mustang alt fit NICELY where i want it, but he has a 3 wire hookup, ours are 4. I have the skematic for mine, but cant seem to find one for the stang to see if I can make an adapter for the harness.....

stock LT1, LS1 is 110 amp. 55amps would be just enough for you to run down the 1/4 mi. no lights, radio, wipers etc. 55amp alt are for v6. cars.

car is a v6, but it sounds like its cutting it too close
Working on getting wiring diagram for the mustang to see if i can "adapt" it to fit the fireturd..

I was wrong, I looked at replacement alternators on auto zone. V6 firebird is 105 amp and lt1 is 140 amp.
