parking lights

    parking lights

    i had a problem with a very dim parking light, so i changed the bulbs then all of the sudden that parking light would stay on 24/7 no matter what when the car is running. the other side only came on when i turned on the parking light or whatever.. so i changed the other side bulb and then my right blinker stopped working...

    so i went to the junkyard got 2 parking light sockets.. and a fuse went bad, replaced that and the 2 sockets and now everything works.. except for the fact that both my parking lights come on when my car is running, whether the lights are on or off they stay on 24/7 when the car is running. is that normal??

    Yes its normal. Your parking lights will be on when your car is running. They look like this when your car is running correct?

      there are ways of bypassing that so your lights dont come on unless you turn the lights on...but yes they should be on whenever your car is running regardless if your lights are on or off.

        Pull the parking brake up 1 click. Disables all exterior lights unless you turn them on. Car must be off before you pull brake other wise it wont work. I.e. you can be going down the road and expect to turn them off.

          yup that's what it looks like. thanks everyone! just wanted to make sure i didn't have a short anywhere or anything.
