EMC? Do you mean PCM/ECU? Will be interesting to see the replies, I didn't think you can get a PCM for a different year due to possibly different wiring?

95 was the start of OBDII, so there in itself lies a problem to overcome.

You would have to check the wiring connections between the 94 nad the 97. 1. I know the obd porting is different, wire on 94 runs under dash and 97 runs around engine bay to enter under gauge cluster.
It is doable especially if you get engine harness with it and there are another 4-6 wires that you'll need to redo. We went from 94 to 95 and had a number of issue's but they can be resolved.

the 93s sucked and were a air density set-up LT1s and the 94+ LT1s were the start of MAF set up. Then 96 started OBDII and yours is a OBDI so there is no way to use an OBDII ECM on an OBDI car

There is a way but it requires a lot of wire tracing and detail. esentially have to start with the ecu and compare each pin out connect on the 4 plugs then trace each out to where it connects to function. IE sensor injectors trans etc. then you need to rewire or have a tuner delete function. It can be done. B and I went from 94 to 95. V6 to V8. It took some work but we did it. If your a stick trans thats simpler than auto.

95 only had an OBDII connector, it still had a OBDI computer. 96 was the first year of OBDII computer

What your probably thinking of was for 96 cars. There pcm's couldnt be tuned, so you had to buy a 97(which is a direct swap), and have that pcm modified.
