Whether it's been tuned or not for the LT4 cam it shouldn't just shut off like that. I've been running my CC503 un-tuned for the last 2k miles and it's never stalled. I would start checking wires, make sure when putting the engine back together nothing is shorting out, or rubbing through. Also make sure you have good plugs and wires, and none of the wires were installed on the wrong plug.

Whether it's tuned or not surely can have something to do with it, but it would depend on when it's stalling out. My CC503 build liked to stall when I'd be coming to a stop or going into reverse and it wasn't tuned yet.

Pat: How long does it usually take before it stalls? Is it when you're idling, coming to a stop, accelerating? Is it when you're in open loop or closed loop? I've got an AKM cable and FreeScan we can use to log it and see if that gives up any ghosts.

mine doesnt stall anymore than it did stock. The computer takes a minute or so to learn the new cam and is fine from there on provided you drive it correctly (M6).

when he says "randomly" shutting off i dont think he is referring to stalling.

I think a datalog like brian suggested could give us a lead... i cant think of anything off the top of my head.

bad z28 your car doesnt stall because you had a stellar install but did you change your injectors during the install? if you put in bigger injectors without having the computer reflashed for it it will load the motor up with fuel and it will stall. also check your plugs even if you didnt do the injectors, id bet they are black as hell from running pig rich.

The car will stall if it's getting to much fuel.
It snuffs out the spark on the plugs.

Like the guys said, check the plugs, they will tell you a lot about the fuel & air condition of the car.

Like I said - I've got an AKM cable and freescan that I've used on my '95 LT1 and my dad's '95 Formula so I know it will work on your car. Shoot me a call sometime, I live at 24 and Hayes and you're in Macomb too so it's not out of my way.
