  • DMH Electric Cutout install pics

heres some pics of the install. i put the switch in the cigarette lighter, lol. i took the counsel out and took apart the lighter, used the trim ring and it damn near looks like it came from the factory like this. i dont smoke so i didnt think it would be an issue. besides theres another plug if i need to plug something in. the cutout itself sits a little lower then id like but what to do? im heading down to get some wire loom and cover the wire and attach it a little better. what you think? valve opens and closes quickly and is pretty tame at idle, but touch the gas and its freaking obnoxious. now i definately need a cam.

yikes that cutout is low. should have had them tuck it up in front of the passenger side rear seat. I put my switch in a similiar spot but right below the cigarette lighter, ended up getting the power from a plug just chilling behind there, I'm assuming it was for the TCS button but my car doesnt have traction control lol. We first had it tied into the cigarette lighter but realized that was constant power, with my QTP switch that lights up constantly, power all the time would be no good lol.

The switch looks really good there! The cutout is really low though! I wouldn't want the motor hanging that low, that's just asking for trouble...

          Agreed. Very low.

But the switch install is clean!

thanks all, i will have to see if the cutout being as low as it is will give me any problems. hmm maybe a speed bump will be an issue. just went out and measured. it is 2.5 inchs above ground and the middle of my y pipe, that the exhaust shop just built, is also only 2.5 inchs above. might be a problem

Awesome job on the switch; looks factory installed. As for the cutout, I think you'll end up destroying it; it appears to be too low.

i dont know, i just had mine installed today and it looks about that low, just go slow over tracks and around holes. it kinda keeps the exhaust from just rolling around in the hole and bouncing of the floor pannle.

maybe roll the motor up to the next bolt that way it dont hang low, thats what im going to do.
