Well took the belt off and everything and its not the alternator, sounds like its coming around the area of the head, but it sounds like its outside of the engine. Maybe you're right about the AC Compressor. On Wednesday I'm bringing it to an Uncle's friend that worked for a dealership for 15 years and see if he can diagnose it.

I really hope its nothing internal, i'd be pissed. It's getting checked out Wednesday so we'll see. Did you check the belt over real good almost sounds like a belt fragment hitting something. Also belt tensioner bearing will do strange noises.sigpic

ya know, now that it was brought up, my car did the same thing inside started coming apart and hitting stuff at the bottom. check your belt.sigpic

We took the belt off and started the car, can't be anything to do with the belt or anything ran by the belt.

\ well rocker arm push rod and collapsd lifter is all in the same line, id start thinkin that. the lifter rides the cam pushes the push rod up witch works the rocker thats all in the same genral area.sigpic

Well if its something in the engine i'm just gonna get an Eagle rotating assembly.
