    My hatch latch button won't work with the car running but when I shut it off the button works just fine?

        Mine works as long as the car is in park. Running or not.

          Car can be running but has to be in park. Plus mine will only work with the door open if they car isnt running.

              As long as you are in park it should work for an auto mine being a manual I only have to engage the E-Brake.

                OK thanks guys,mine being a manual I would probably have to engage the e-brake but being an '84 they would probably lock up if they engaged at all!!

                    Oh a thirdgen! Like mine then all you should have to do is engage the e-brake. But I will say as the older our cars get they do some weird things from time to time!
