The rev limiter has nothing to do with the trans.
The rev limiter has to do with how many RPM's the motor can get to before the fuel & spark get shut off so you don't damage the motor.
Now, M6 cars do have a shift limiter on them but that can be skipped with a plug-in.

That's what I meant - with an M6 you're under a lot more control of the engine's RPMs and revs, so you're only going to rev it as high as you want, so wouldn't you just make sure you don't rev it to 6200 and you're fine With an auto on the other hand if you mash the gas I can see where the issue would be if it was set too high but a manual doesn't seem like it's as much of an issue.
1 I can control the revs of my engine so Im not freaking out about my rev limiter being set to 6400 but I havent seen one dyno graph online where anyone with a stock cam wasnt starting to lose power past around 6100-6200 so way go past that point and risk valve float I rather just set my limiter to 6200 for safety
2 the car wasnt put on a dyno so I really dont know if 30.5* adv is building anymore power then say 28* and from what Ive seen most of the time past 28-29* they dont say way have it past that point?
3 Narrowband I have heard mixed reviews on. Steve said with his PE tables it would be fine to tune it with narrowband. Should he have tuned it with wideband? he said my A/F was about 12.5/1

Past 25 percent throttle the skip shift wont do anything on an M6 car from the factory it just makes it so the skip shift doesnt make you shift from 1st-4th in DD conditions

actually its quite the exact opposite. you are confusing the rev limiter with shift points - they are completely seperate and serve different purposes.
shift points determine how high an engine revs before a gear change. The rev limiter controls how high the engine can rev period. A shift point is an RPM you want to hit, a rev-limit is not.
In an automatic, the rev limiter is a 'backp' safety in the event that the engine is revved too high in neutral, or the trans cant perform a gear change fast enough to bring the RPMs back down. (sometimes happens in 1st gear with a lot of power, or a failing transmission). In a manual where the driver determines the shift points, it simply prevents them from revving to high in all conditions (although specific rev limiters can be set for individual gears).
because the driver IS in more control with a manual the rev limiter is probably more crucial on manual than an auto (although crucial on both). shift points are the drivers responsibility therefore less consistent and easier to screw up. Not to mention if you miss shift and throw it back a gear.
My rev limiter is set to 6200 right now (stock), and with my cam it is QUITE easy to accidentally hit. im going to raise it to 6500 or so this summer.
Skip shift on manuals (CAGS) also has nothing to do with this discussion for reasons already stated.
