  • "Service Engine Soon" Funny story...

So last night on my way home from work, i notice a new orange-ish glow from the guage panel area...and i knew it.... "service engine soon" shit!
So I get home, pull the car into the garage and pop the hood.....nothing out of the ordinary...damnit.
After a good 10 mins of searching, checking fuel levels, good ole flash light look around....nothing outta the ordinary, so I decide to browse the web for answers. I found a lot of possibly helpful stuff, but nothing seemed to fix it.

    Fast forward to this morning

I had the morning off from work today, so I figured I would go get a hair cut. Well, i get my hair cut, come out and the start the car and notice that the engine light has mysteriously turned off, so I say to myself "out of sight, out of mind" amirite?

About 5 minutes later on my way home, out of the corner of my eye i see some movement near my windshield wipers....and what do ya know a freaking MOUSE is crawling out from under my hood!!!!!! "WTF"
What I did next may upset some animal lovers...I waited until the mouse was at the edge of the wiper....and clicked on the wiper into high....bye bye mouse...that's what ya get for living in my engine.

So i get home, jack the car up and from under the car I see a small, newly formed nest....dug it all out and hopefully wont have any problems like that again

P.S. I went out and bought some moth balls and sprinkled them around....lets see a mouse pull that shit again.

Lmao at turning the widshield wipers on to throw him off. I usually keep my golf bag in our barn and when im going golfing, throw it in the car. Apparently there was a mouse in there and he found his way up onto my dash while I was driving and became interested in the defrost vents. I started to turn down a road on my right so that i could get him out and the little bastard started sliding across the dash towards me! lol. He slid all the way across and fell into my lap just before I got stopped. So i throw the door open and roll out and start jumping up and down to try and get him off me. After about 20 secs of doing this he gets off. I turn around and start to walk back to my car and there is a super hot chick that graduated with me and I haven't seen in like a year in her car stopped behind me watchin me. She pulls up and is like um, are u allright?Me: Yeah, just had a bug in my pants, haha. Her: rriigghhtt. And drives off. I was so embaressed, lol.

Those bastards can make a mess. Check wiring and in your airbox. They like to chew the insulation off wires and they definitely love hiding crap in yur airbox. Ive found anything from pine cones to corn.

I found an old nest inside the airbox of my Sonoma. . . I was wondering why the blower motor didn't put out any air when it was on, then I pulled out all of that crap and BAM! Works like new! lol

i bougt an engine that was running and started having problems so the guy parked the truck in the garage for about three months. he went out after he saved up some money and went to start the truck to figure out the prob and he could get the engine to turn over it seemed to be seezed so he gave it to me so i decided to rebuilt it. i took the intake off and in the valley of the engine was a mouse nest and they had the cam lifters rusted fast into the block i went to the local mechanic and he helped me get the crank out and we put liquid wrench on them and put a screwdriver on the and gave them a few smacks to get them out. it didnt hurt the block to much but thoughs mice can be some real pests

Unfortunately I may have the best/worst mouse story..lol I was in Iraq, hadn't been home in like 11 months. It was late at night and I was sound asleep, I feel this nice soft rubbing(down south) and am thinking(dreaming) wow, that feels good.. Then I realize I'm not dreaming, jump out of my cot and think, no effing way.. I quick turn on my light and there goes a mouse scurrying out of my sleeping bag.. Little bastard was in my underwear!!!
