  • Taylor 10.5 MM wires = JUNK!

My cars down for a week or so.. Waiting on new plug wires.. Started developing an intermittent miss and was looking at my plug wires tonight and found 3(only looked at 3, lol) that had basically fallen apart.. Stay away from 10.5 MM Taylor Thundervolts, they are junk.. I should clarify these are the full length wires used when you relocate your coil packs under the cowl.. These have maybe 4000 miles on them..

I still have Taylor 8mm SpiroPros on my car...probably nearly a year. They're just fine.

I still would contact them anyways. You never know, if they send you wires, you could always sell them!

through my experience with ignition products.. MSD makes an awesome product. I've been through WAY TOO MANY issues with Accel. MSD all the way! X2 on selling the free wires...

That's true.. Once I get my new wires, I'll snap pics of the screwed up ones and see what they say..

Purchased a set of Thundervolts from Taylor this spring.

                    A dramatic improvement for me.

I'd contact them too...something may be off...

stay away from ANY Taylor wire!!! Mine arced to anything and everything. They are very well known for being a 50/50 hit or miss product. Dumbest purchase ive made for that reason.

I had no problems until about a month ago, started noticing something wasn't quite right.. Where the pic is taken the wires are protected by 1500 degree sleeves, no wires were touching the headers(except 1 I fried the other day, which is what got me to looking at the rest of the wires).

youre lucky to have at least gotten some value out of them. my 8.5s were a firework show from day 1.
