  • Temp Sender?

Hey guys. I bought my car last June, and ever since I drove it home, the water temp gauge has never worked. It sits at the lowest point, and doesn't move, doesn't even flinch. It just sits there. My car runs pretty good, I mean it does seem to be weak when under light acceleration (as in slow acceleration from 50mph up, light enough on the throttle that it won't kickdown the trans into a lower gear), and it tends to pop and hesitate when doing this. I don't know if it's because of the temp sensor or not, but my Dad bought me a set of gauges, one of which was a water temp gauge. I used the included adapters and hooked the gauge up, putting the sensor in the stock sensor location. The new gauge works great, and the car still runs the same as always, same hesitation problems, everything. Also, it seems that the car has trouble turning over the tires on dry pavement. IDK if this is the same problem or not, but it's bugging me.

Should I buy a new water temp sensor for the car to replace the stock one? Where could I put the aftermarket gauge sensor then?

Also, just a quick question, where would I find a spot to hook up my aftermarket oil pressure gauge sensor? I was thinking of replacing the stocker again, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that if I keep taking out sensors, I'm going to eventually trip up the stock tune, and the car is going to stop running because it's not getting a signal from certain sensors.

    Any help is appreciated!
