Taylor wires?

What is everyone's experience with these? Are they hit or miss? I see good reviews and bad reviews all the time.

I'll just be blunt about my own... I think they suck. Theyve been arcing ever since the initial install and i took every possible precaution. They are all crimped perfectly and i used the supplied electric grease and tool. I just got my car out of storage today and it is even worse now. My car ran better on the original 90k mile wires without a shadow of a doubt.

I need to get new wires but ive invested so much into this car lately im just gonna let it go for a while.

Mine work absolutely flawlessly.

I have a set of 8mm Spiro-pro wires, that were "for" my car. Now, they weren't for headers (because two plugs have 180* boots and one actually lays on the header - don't worry, I've checked before, and NOTHING has even burned through), but they fit good - and I really like them...

Excellent performance for the price.

I've been taking a long look at the Taylor "Full Metal Jacket" series, but can't find much information about them.

So I'd be interested in feedback as well...

eff that buy some MSD's.. i love mine and have never had a problem like i did with a set of taylors

well i might be retracting my negative review. I was looking things over tonight and found that my stupid intake elbow had ripped slightly and folded inwards on the very bottom, allowing for an air leak Prolly my own damn fault. Roads are wet now, but ill see if that fixes my problem tomorrow.

I have heard of more problems with Taylors than MSD's, but I've always wanted to get a set of Taylors to try them out because everybody has MSD and I like to be diffferent.

drove it last night and this definitely helped the problem i was having but it didnt quite fix it

Yeah, my buddy Rob (who used to own this awesome Camaro: http://modernmuscle.net/MyGarage/MyG...CamaroHome.htm - now he drives a bad ass Grand National - maybe I'll get him to sign up here anyways) recommended Taylor wires, and I love my set - then again, I didn't have to crimp anything - that always introduces possible "user error".

yea it really seems like my issue is exclusive to one or maybe two cylinders. It makes a pretty consistent "chug" when i gun it at a low RPM.
