  • Local shop/etc to tune out rear O2s/AIR/EGR?

I've put this off for awhile and would like to get it taken care of for this season so my SES light isn't on all the time. I'm looking for someone in or around my area (kzoo) that can tune this stuff out. Can any shop do this, or will they give me a blank stare when I tell them I need this done?

Not many shops have the capabilities of tuning out the rear O2 sensors.
You have 2 options pretty much
    1. Buy an O2 simulator if they are still avaiable. But be warned they aren't that relieable. I installed my simulator over a year ago and every thing was fine until two weeks ago when it died. I checked the connections so I assume it is garbage.

    2. Buy HP Tuners which allowed you tune out the rear o2 sensors and about a million other things. In the next couple weeks I think I will be buying a HP Tuners, they are very expensive but I figure it will be usefull for now as well in future cars. Some performance shops will tune out the rear O2s but your best bet is to find someone local with HP Tuners.

Yeah I was basically looking to pay someone who had HPTuners or if someone knew of a performance shop that had it or something. I considered O2 sims but I've heard that even with them sometimes the codes still pop up; I don't want to take that chance. And I want to get EGR and AIR tuned out as well so I might as well do all 3 at once instead of getting O2 sims and then something else to do the other two.

Do you know how much does he charges for that? (PM me if you'd like) It wouldn't be for a little bit since I haven't registered/insured the car after winter storage yet, but I'm definitely interested in getting it done and a 2 hour drive really wouldn't bother me if there wasn't anywhere closer for me to get it done.
