I have been told that plastic and steel fuel tank cars have differant ohm fuel senders. Depending on what the cluster came out of this may cause an issue

I finished painting my dash so once I get the gauge harness lengthened 6 inches I'll go ahead and take it to the gas station and fill her up. I doubt it's the gas, though, because it was around half when I stopped driving it in the fall.

I was driving last night and My Check Gauges came on, I came here to see if anyone else has had this.. Sure enought I found this and another thread. I have to say this place and all of you are a wealth of knowledge. Anyways I my voltage was up and down yesterday, first it was way above norm and then fell into the red. This morning I went to AutoZone, and they did the check on the Batt and Alt... at this point the alt was at 14V and then dropped to 10 again. On my way home only 1 mile I watched the Volts fall lower and lower I would say it is about half way into the red now... Now waiting for a warm day to replace the alt, since this car is my DD and can not be with out it...

Thanks everyone for all of your help.... even if you didn't know you were helping...
