Call the dealer with the VIN number, they should be able to tell you

Not sure if it would translate all the way back to `94 but my `98 has it becausae I ordered it that way and the RPO is R7X (security system w/keyless entry) if I remember correctly. So look for that RPO on the glovebox sticker.

Yep, 98 and 94 should be the same code.

So if my Keyfob doesn't work, I should be able to take it to a dealer and get a new one right?

Have you replace the battery in the fob first? I've never heard of a fob disconnecting itself from a vehicle once it's been programmed for it.

Apyah, just because a car has power locks doesn't mean it has keyfobs. I believe my 94 had power locks but manual windows and no keyfobs. The fobs were part of the security system package.

Yeah, like Wade said -- the keyless entry to have fobs is a separate thing that didn't come on all vehicles.

best bet is take ti to a dealer, they will check for free, my gf's 99 grand am GT surprisingly came without factory keyless entry, it did have a POS aftermarket one of some sort that died shortly after she got the car, she bought the remote and everything but they said the car was never equipped with it and it would cost alot to have the factory unit put in. needless to say she jsut uses the key now lol. The dealer said it was pretty weird for a car of that year not to have keyless but he had even seen a 2000s monte carlo SS without one, pretty weird stuff.

has nothing to do with being weird. people dont pay for the option then its not there (and yes you can have power door locks and no keyless)

Non-keyless versions: Use light blue for lock and dark blue for unlock. Both wires are located in either door harness. The passenger switch is the master switch.

Keyless versions: Use red/black for lock and orange/black for unlock. Both wires are located in the passengers kick panel at the keyless entry module. The passenger switch is the master switch.
