  • Bulb suggestions for Lt1 style lights

I am looking for some brighter low and high beam lights for my car (97 camaro). The stockers just don't cut it for me at night. What do you 93-97 guys do to improve your light issues?

Silverstars only work for you Firebird guys cuz you use a 4x6 headlight. The Camaros use the real small lights and I don't believe Silverstar makes them in that size. Brian said he did the eurolight conversion on his car. That's probably the way to go since you can just replace bulbs instead of the whole light.

93-97 has the sealed beam housing just the same, but you can take the bulb and pry and twist it out, then shove 9005 bulbs in there and silicone them in place. Then when you get sick of siliconing them in place, you can get the Eurobeams conversion and you'll be all set.

I really wish i knew what was done to my headlights because mine are definitely way brighter than stock. Glad i dont have to worry about them though. I might disect them though because i need to replace the bulbs in my corners and fogs now. I have one burned out in each at the moment

while were on this topic has anyone upgraded their bulbs in stock LT1 fogs?

im going to try to figure out what kind of bulbs i have for you next time i go home, but thats going to be next weekend, and i cant say for sure ill even be able to tell. whatever i have theyre good... both high and low beams are a good brightness they shouldve been from the factory.

                            Travis, here's what i found:

It appears that my housings and everything have been replaced as they are stamped with the same number as the bulb itself. i didnt try very hard for fear of breaking it, but the bulb doesnt seem to want to budge. here's a picture with the number for you. It is a "Sylvania halogen" housing. This is a low beam housing.

correction, apparently just one of my housings have been relplaced. the rest are "guide" halogens but the bulb in the other side is still a sylvania H4351
