Here is a picture showing the wires leading up to the cluster.

If nothing else is there a way i could wire this up to power and have the odometer work it's way back around to 75,430.

Just go to the dealer. If they can't do it they will tell you where to go. They do these all the time.

I called Todd Wenzell yesterday and they have to send them out to a 3rd party company and it costs $300.

I will be checking with other dealers, but if it costs $300 i might as well just drive my car with the old cluster till i get to 108008 miles on the car. That should be about 3 years.

So I found another cluster in Fraser, MI for $50.00 that has ~70,500 miles on it. I bought it and it will be shipping out today.

Gaugeing Interest: Anyone here have a 96-97 3.8l V6 Firebird with a analog Odometer and ~108,000 miles on there car that would be interested in upgrading to a digital Odometer. I payed about $90.00 for this on ebay but i would sell it for $50.00, same price i payed for the new one that is coming.

Yeah, I'll probably see it Travis can bump the speed of the Odometer up with his HPTuner. At least until the mileage gets to the point that it should.

and is there a way that the dealer can find out if you have stoped the miles??

how do you do that? If you pull the VSS so the speedo doesn't read anything does the miles still add up?

yup, even if you unplug the cable from the transmission, the mileage will not go up.

On that year of car the dealer can find out the actual miles through the computer. The dealers can not set the odmeter. Tried a company called SPECMO out of detroit. That is wear my dealer sends clusters to get fixed.
