Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Every convertible owner should get caught in the rain a couple of times. If you haven't, then you don't put the top down enough
Having been caught in the rain in 3 different convertibles, plus in my 'Bird with T-tops, I can tell you that the speed thing DOES work to keep the rain out. But each car has a "sweet spot". Too fast or too slow, the rain will soak you, but if you are going just the right speed it stays out. It's different on every body style too, at least on the ones I've had.
Of course if it's pouring buckets out of the sky, no amount of wind will deflect it. But hey, you bought a convertible to experience the elements more fully while driving, right??!

i wheeled out my buddy's dad's '63 droptop Vette at work one day, it was looking like it was gonna get nasty out soon so i took it back to my friends house so it wouldn't be stuck taking up space in the shop all weekend, well of course it started to pour on me 1/2 way there. being an old car the top didn't really go up all that well....i was pretty wet once i got it back.
I have a hardtop 'bird, hardtop Monte Carlo, hardtop truck, both my parent's DD's are hardtops, the only thing close was the T-Top 'maro, and we got caught in a drizzle with the tops out on the way to Woodward this year, that was it.
Heck yea! We have been caught many times. Going to St. Ignace 2 years ago and at least 3 times on the HRPT this year. The morning we left Racine, WI on HRPT, there was a guy in a '69 Pace Car Camaro whose top must not have worked because it was pouring down rain and he was just a smilin' and getting soaked. When we passed him, he tried to get us to put our top back down. No thanks! We saw him a little while later and he was completely drenched but by then he put his windows up.
