I went 140 with the top down once. Even had the tonneau covers on and they did not blow off.

              old thread or not

ive been over 150 on m15 up north and my buddie has an 02 35th vert and just kept going with the top down, he did have to hold his hat on his head but my guess is he hit 160 or a little more at 155 i backed out, bad alignment car started floating.

120 on a country road... then i get scared. I always think about "what if a deer walks out of the cornfields" then i slow down

145 in the IROC-Z several years ago. It took several miles to get up there after reaching 130. I-96 between Coopersville and Muskegon. 145 was ALL she had. Redline in overdrive.

140-ish in the Hot Rod Mag. Edition. Does it effortlessly just about anywhere. There's more there, I just haven't done it yet.

140-ish in the '96SS (before I sold it) On several occasions, probably a little more left on top of that, too.

120-ish in the '74 Z28 many years ago, (6,500 rpms in 4th with 3.73 gears, but now with the 6 speed trans, there is a new record to be set!

142 on my motorcycle. (VFR800i Interceptor) On US131 north just south of Sand Lake. Effortless here too. Very stable, no stress. Probably another 7-10 mph left here, but was nearing my exit pretty quickly.
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

I don't have a vert but I have had my car up to about 145 with the T-Tops off before.

Going side by side with Veee8 in his T/A. He was about 138 and my mechanic and I blew by at 147 with the top down. Stable as Hell and pulling with authority. Haven't had a chance with the 382.
