  • Need a datamaster log read & diagnosis help

    Not an F-body, but an LT1 B-body.

Friend of mine has a 94 Roadmaster that is intermittently running very rough, mainly while in gear. Can someone please take a look at the datamaster file and see if they notice anything? I have zero experience with data logging or interpreting the results.

    Some background:

It's been running increasingly rough almost to the point of stalling. There is a very rich fuel smell coming from the tailpipes too. He has 1-2 exhaust manifold bolts broken on both sides but that has been the case long before the car started running like crap. Fuel mileage is consistently a few mpg lower than it used to be.

Bank 1 o2 sensor isn't cycling very much, hanging around 900mV much of the log. Bank 2 looks to cycle more often but it does have some long periods where it stays under 10mV

      Sound like bad sensors then?

Not a terrible idea, but I don't want you to start throwing money at it yet. There is a boot that commonly rips on LT1 cars, could be an issue.

When I get back inside I will post a screen shot of the o2 sensors. I noticed a correlation with a slight timing pull and o2 swings

Awesome, thank you! Not going to throw money at the O2's just yet, I noticed the right side practically going dead too so we decided to fix the manifolds first so we're not chasing a compound problem, then we'll start messing around with the sensors.

Sorry for the delay, stayed in the garage really late last night
