I was sitting at a light after driving around for an hour and noticed my oil pressure was at 20 psi. It usually is around 40 psi at idle now she is only at 40 psi at 1k rmps. Sorry I'm new to the ls1 its a 2002 ws6 Trans am oil was changed 600 miles ago is this normal I just bought the car owners man says as long as it has 10 psi it's fine.the first picture is normal dring speed second picture is at idle image.jpgimage.jpg

I bought it from a stealer ship so I'd say cheap oil and filter. I'm going to put Mobil 1 in it tomrow and see if it makes a difference I just wana make shure my pump is not on its last legComment

What you have is lower than mine. But not necessarily bad. I put a new LS6 pump in when I did the cam change and I get 40 at idle and 65 when revs are up. Went up about 10 with new pump. How many miles on motor?When in doubt, Whip it out !Comment

80k miles on motor, its holding 40 psi today at idle with it fully warmed upComment
