  • tick tock goes the clock....I mean engine.

Hey all, heres the deal. I seem to have developed a ticking on acceleration under load, It will tick quietly at cold start but wont after its warm. It doesn't tick during cruise or at idle, only under acceleration and especially under load......Exhaust manifold leak, lifters, goblins? thanks everyone.

Sounds like a stock ls motor. lol.

Is it a BAD tick, or just a tick that goes away?

It only shows up under load, once im cruising at moderate speeds I cant hear it, I'll try to post a sound clip of it today from my phone. it definitely wasn't like that last week.

considering I drove it all winter, Im not sure why it would complain now. I mean spring has sprung and shiny days will come, I need this car to bring some fun.......

Thats what I thought it might be, but how do you fix that or check to see the if its the problem? I gotta remove the headers? it sounds like the driver side header if it is.
