rebuilding ls but undecided on a few things

I need your guys thoughts. Im about to start purchasing parts to put back my ls1 back together from a few failed lifters that happened last year. Im getting heads and cam reguardless so heres plan a and b

Plans were to turbo it but money needs to go to other things due to slow work season as it picks up in the summer ill start buying parts to turbo it.


So should i

A. Put turbo cam in it and 317s and run it na til i have the rest of the things i need to turbo it

Or

B. Put 243s and bigger na cam in it and run it for the season then pull it apart at the end of season sell the 243 heads and na cam for the turbo cam and 317.

With plan A im just worried it will be a dog for the season til the turbo stuff bought. Then with plan B ill be losing more on a fee things and having to buy some gaskets again and then of course my time.


What would you guys do ?

The car will be a roach with a small cam and lower compression. I would put 243's on it with the "turbo" cam. Unless your trying to make 800hp on shit fuel I'm not on the 317 bandwagon.

Yeah thats what im saying. I dont want it to be a dog with the 317s i was going to go with the ticks stg2 cam
