Anyone running them? How bad are they on the street? I already have a kirkey so I don't know how much worse it can get. I've read that with a poly transmission mount you shouldn't have to worry about the block/transmission breaking. The car only sees 2-3k miles a year.

i have them with zero issues, your just supposed to run a poly trans mount with them not a solid trans mount too.

you can feel a bit more vibration but it doesnt bother me at all with my kirkeys

less power loss due to engine movement and quicker 60ft times are some of the pluses. i got my car already (very) gutted and like i said it already has a kirkey so its far from comfy. the car only gets driven from lansing to the track (US131 or Onondaga or any auto-x in lansing), to local weekend meets, and to the dream and 28th st. cruise so it's drive time is very limited.

i ordered a MWC k-member for my 5.3 swap and they have a sale on their solid mounts if you buy a K. normally they are $80, about the same as some poly mounts, so if i can get these cheaper and they are better performance wise, i'll get them. i just wanted to hear first hand from people driving on MI roads if they've had any horror stories with them before i pull the trigger.

I've heard solid mounts aren't any worse than poly mounts and poly mounts didn't feel any different than stock to me.

it all depends on the harmonics of your engine - resonate frequency maths and science!

I had solid motor mounts and a poly trans mount in my 98 camaro. LS1, auto. Loved it. Car was cammed big time so it shook pretty good at idle but it was a toy racecar so it was very fitting IMO.

that's exactly what i'm looking for! i loved the way my old GTP shook from the lop in the idle, and that had stock mounts. i think i'm sold on them, just waiting to hear back from MWC.

stock mounts can actually be worse depending on the setup. Mine shakes around plenty at idle, i can watch the doors jump up and down. But they are tolerable low frequency vibrations, much better than a high frequency vibration and buzzing plastic everywhere.

I think poly is good for a stock engine, but for many cammed setups it can a little too snug.
